I'm with Tom on this one. We'll never be seen as a credible sport if we send abuse to journalists who do give us a mention. Seeking to educate and inform (as Tom did) was a brilliant idea - as you point out yourself, "in the past, when journalists have taken time to get to know the sport, the people involved and their adherance to the spirit, some have turned out half-decent articles portraying the sport for what it is." He's less likely to want to come and see us now, isn't he?
By the way, did you read the other bits of that same article? We came off well in comparison to the "surreal, Pythonesque" 'buggy fit' people, or touch rugby players, identified as an appropriate butt of jokes about "heading up to Hampstead Heath for some touch with the blokes".
