Really?  I'd have thought plentiful water was essential.

Sure people can get there own bottle and fill it up and carry it to the pitch, but if there's provided water conatiners (from the UKUA) and the assumption that someone is going to be filling them up continually, that's what should happen.

It's a community that pays for the event and should expect at least some measure of value for money/quality of service.
