Hello, I have recently created a new online learning environment for Ultimate
called "openultimate.com" and I would like to invite everyone to join.
Membership and hosting are free. There are currently 250+ members.

You will find two primary uses for openultimate.com:

1) locating resources that will help you in coaching Ultimate; and

2) creating a private online course for you and your team that will
help you to create, manage, and disseminate resources to your team,
including activities such as journal writing or discussion forums.

For any who are familiar with Blackboard, you will find this
environment to be very similar. It's built in a free open-source
equivalent known as "Moodle."

Please share this invitation with anyone who might be interested. The
more people who use this site, the better it will become. I named it
"openultimate" because I wanted to encourage coaches and players to
share their resources (good books, DVDs, websites, blogs, etc., as
well as lesson plans and/or drills that they have found useful). I've
started it off with an assortment, and I hope that this will serve to
"seed" the ground for continuous and robust contributions by the world-
wide Ultimate coaching and playing community.

If you are interested in becoming a "site editor" (like a wikipedia
editor), or have other contributions to offer, please contact me
through the site.

The site is already in use by a few high school and college teams, as
well as the USA Junior Girls and Boys teams. The more it is used, the
more useful it will become.

Please visit the site and check it out for yourself!

Dan
