[BD] movement of my pivot foot

Actually...

It is the actual pivot that needs to move in order for it to be a travel.
Everything else can bend and move it well pleases :-)

Surely any movement of your pivot foot (accept the actual pivot, obviously)
is a travel. I know this wasn't the main point of your post, but it probably
needed saying.
