[BD] Spirit scoring system for beginners

Actually, Chris and I came to the opposite conclusion to you Rodders.
We spend three or four times more on spirit trophies than on any other
trophy (like SteveG says - do Clapham really need another trophy?
surely Harv's room has enough clutter already). We made sure that
every single member of the winning (sotg) team gets a trophy! And they
all seemed very happy about it.
Being spirited is not easy and not automatic - even if it should be.
It goes against the very nature of competitive play! That is why it
deserves recognition. To go back to the Chris Rock analogy, if you
grow up surrounded by crime and poverty and manage to keep your nose
clean, then yes, you do deserve credit.
I have come to the conclusion that SOTG benefits from being calculated
differently at different events - after all, it's a very subjective
matter. Each time you have a different method, you are forced to think
about it differently, similarly, I like it that some TD's publish all
the results but others don't. I think it would be a great shame if it
was standardised across all events as it allows TD's to put their own
stamp on their event.
