A quick message from Warwick Bears:

 

Did you know that 1 in 3 people will develop cancer in their lifetime? We do; and in fact quite a few people in the club have had close family experiences with many different severities of cancer. Therefore in recognition of Cancer Research UK's (CRUK) continued struggle to find cures and treatments we have decided to organise and run a fund raising outdoor 2 day tournament.

 

The weekend of 30th June, 1st July 2007 will see a 20 team outdoor tournament hosted at Warwick with extra entertainments such as stalls, live bands, hacky sac competitions and freestyle exhibitions. The most important aspect of this is that all the proceeds will be donated straight to CRUK to enable them to carry on with that they do best. 

 

Whilst this is still in the planning stage we are very keen for this to go ahead in the club's 30th year and already have support from the University and other sponsors. Please keep this date in your diary and if you're interested in entering a team, email Nick Hudgell ( nhudgell at gmail.com ) detailing your interest.
