I havent played Ultimate at tour level all too long, but my opinion of
the Tour is that its (put one way) the UK's League, to find the best
   current team in the UK.

People have been saying "playing against the same opposition at every
event only teaches you how to beat (or lose to) the same teams over
   and over"

Now this I agree with, but isnt the point of being the best in the UK,
beating all the teams that are UK based? Basically, if you want to be
the best you have to beat those top teams like Clapham / Fire
/ Fusion. However if you want to compete against fresh teams, (top
European teams for example) wouldnt you go to Euros?

Shouldnt the UKUA Tours be for UKUA teams? to find the best UKUA team.
some one also said if you want to be a top 16 team try harder, well
ye, if you want to be the best team in the UK, try harder.

Speaking as a player who has only ever played in the B tour that
   is....

When my team plays at the Junior Level, we always manage to meet our
rivals (the current national champions) the mowers some where in the
tournament, and loose, we put our hearts and souls in to beating them,
however have yet to do so at a tournament where it counts. If a
Swedish junior team entered the UKUA Junior Nationals, and beat
everyone, I wouldnt be as hart broken as if I was loosing to the same
team every year, because to be the best current Junior team, you have
to beat the mowers, no one else, and every junior team knows that.

And Im sure the top A tour teams feel the same about beating Clapham.

Sorry If I have rambled on.
