Brummie, you didn't ask me. This happens to be one of the things I like most about the schedule. Personally I would prefer to play 2 full length games a day max, but I realise that you can't make for much of a tournament over 2 days like that. Also I think the current format for the top 8 is actually exactly the same as what was used for many years (up until a few years back).
Anyway, thats not that important. What this really made me want to say is:
I thought it was really good how a survey was put out about the mixed/open calendar for next year and it seems it got a broad view of player and team opinion.
I also think that if you just read the opinions and ideas on britdisc you only get a part of the picture of what the community is thinking, as I think a lot of people with thoughts will never write them to britdisc, even if they feel strongly about them.
So I would strongly urge the UKUA to continue to get proper feedback and to gauge a wide and full range of ideas and opinions before making changes, particularly the kind of major ones which will be suggested in discussions like this. I hope people will continue to post their thoughts to britdisc of course.
