Yes, it was all a joke. Thank you for your emails. The book will be out 
sometime next spring.

I was of course taking the micheal of the many, many, MANY complaints about 
recent tournaments on Britdisc. I was getting fed up of people filling my 
inbox with their moans and whinges. Hell, I play this sport because I love 
it and because I love the people. If a tournament has cold showers, I'm sure 
it has other redeeming features. No pitchside water? Bring a water bottle. 
Sketchy pitch markings? Think of it as modern art.

I just wanted to try and make a point about how ridiculous it all is. I 
don't believe that attending a tournament which was 100% perfect then gives 
you the right to email everyone in the community with your gripes and moans. 
If I walked into a pub full of your friends and moaned at you for half an 
hour, you'd be pretty hacked off. You wouldn't do it, would you? I think 
it's fair enough that we should extend the same courtesy to those people who 
run tournaments.

The internet is a wonderful forum, because it allows the share of important 
information (well, porn), but it also gives people the courage to slag off 
tournaments and people in a way that they would NEVER do so to their face. 
It especially annoys me when those who complain write with the gramatical 
competency of a twelve year old (no offence to twelve year olds).

Perhaps bear this in mind next time you come back from a tournament, and 
have a grievence. Share it with the TD, share it with the board, but don't 
share it with every other bugger on BD.
