highly amusing, i was expecting a few more laughs from any responses but
ended up reading what i can only take as a serious email? a long one at

>normally i don't read these emails but as it was about copa i thought i'd
>have a ganda, and after reading the first three lines i couldn't quite
>believe what i was hearing! and so felt compelled to read on and got more
>and more annoyed and frankly pis$ed off at your points that i feel are
>completely unfoundered.
>
>first off three days of ultimate is never too much, and the health risks
>(if you play properly), are no greater than playing a weekend tournament.
>as for your sun burn then i feel this is your own fault, as every person
>with any sense who is gonna be outside all day will obviously wear sun
>cream and other protection. also your point about achy muscles, this is
>what a warm up and warm down is called, anyone who warms up and dowm
>properly should be fine. and if you are feeling the strain of the three day
>tourny then the obvious answer is to hold back on your playing or stop for
>that tourny. Also i feel compelled to point out that you chose to play the
>three days you could have left on the sunday an only played for the
>weekend, no where does it say that you have to stay for the whole three
>days! i would like to make the point that i played for the whole three
>days, and experienced no problems, and then played at nationals this
>weekend which i know a lot of other people also did and had no problems
>with playin .!!!
>
>and if you say this about this three day toruny what about the teams who
>are going to be playing in worlds in perth in australia in november for a
>week, where i am guessing that at this time fo year it will be hot and
>sunny, i don;t think they will really be complaining about there being too
>much ultimate.
>
>if you felt that your 'graze' was as serious as you obviously feel it is
>then i am sure there was someone on the site somewhere who could have given
>you medical attention to sort it out!
>
>as for your points about the socials. Copa is renowned for the social side
>of it as well as the ultimate side of it. at no point in the captains pack
>did it say that you had to stay up or even participate in the socials, and
>you could join or leave at any pointthat you wanted. as for the consumption
>of alcohol, by the very style of the tourny this is a fun one, and as we
>are all adults over the age of 18 it is our own descression how much or how
>little we drink, not for anyone to tell us, for some of us this tourny is a
>almost a holiday and break from the norm of everyday routine so its nice to
>have a laugh and let our hair down.
>
>Also being murdered in our beds?!!! bolloks! i'm sorry but, that is highly
>unlikely first off it would be pretty stupid for someone to target an area
>so full of people, secondly we weren't really in the area for 'gang
>shooting' now were we? so in my opinion that was a redickulous claim to
>make.! not to forget security man with dog was onsite
>
>as for your claims about kit, while in tour and naionals there are clear
>rules about this and the penalities for not doing this, there are no such
>rues layed out anywhere for the copa, which i emphasise is a FUN
>tournament, and its ok for people to play in hawaien shorts if they want as
>long as both teams are happy that they can clearly distinguish between each
>other, its not exactly rocket science to make sure one team is darks and
>one lights now is it?? seriously!
>
>and about the dogs, fair point but if someone was allergic we are outside
>and they can tell the owners that they were and to avoid them we were on a
>really big field, and as far as i am aware there were no problems whats so
>ever, and the dogs were fantastically well behaved being around so many
>strangers for the whole weekend!.
>
>i feel that if this is what you fell you should say, then i hope you won't
>be going to copa next year because it obviously isn't the tournament for
>you, and you obviously feel that if you can't enjoy it then no one else
>should!
>
>i am sorry if you object to my points but i find the ones you made
>unjustified and down right rude and insulting to the people who have put so
>much hard work in organising the copa every aspect from the horrendous time
>in organising scehdules for so many teams to the fabulous social ideas and
>socials, amazing food on tap an sumo was awsome!
>
>i would like to add my thanks to the team that made copa this year better
>than it was last year it was truely awsome! and i really enjoyed it, i
>loved the three days and i genuinley look forward to this tourny all year,
>and rave about it to all our freshers as the tourny to go to, so thanx
>again to tom, steve, dene and flight club an everyone else, you guys are
>awsome. !
>
>can't wait for next year!
>
>Dan You have been shot down by Raggaduck!
