Howdy Whippet Watchers!

*FIRSTLY

Kent Open would like to invite teams (Open or Students) to come down to
Canterbury on a Sunday for a joint practice and a game. We'd spend an hour
or so on drills and skills jointly, before playing a proper game for the
last hour and a half. We thought it would be a good way to share those
skills which pay the bills, get some competitive playing experience, as well
as an opportunity to try out some new tactics. This might not be suitable
for teams in the top half of Tour A, but we'd happily host any team(s) who
fancied it (equally we could make it to your training). It would be like
being a "proper" sport with weekend fixtures!

*SECONDLY

The county of Kent has been busy organising frisbee over the last couple of
months and I thought it was worth keeping the Ultimate community up to speed
on our developments, which have grown from zilch two years ago.

Students:
The UKC (University of Kent at Canterbury) team, Kent Touch This, has been
running now for two years and is ready to compete on the national stage.

Juniors:
Several local school teams have been practicing for more than a year, and
over the next few weeks will be playing against each other. A Kent Juniors
Allstar team practice is to be announced within a few weeks. Under 18s from
the locality are all welcome to this practice. <This was not sent with the
intention of adding to the N/S juniors debate!>

Open:
We now have regular practices at the below times and places and intend on
making it to our first tour event in the spring. If anyone in East Kent
would like to play some competitive ultimate, feel free to come along to
practice, or contact me (Whippet) on my details below

PRACTICE TIMES AND PLACES
