| About as | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
This mailing list is for autistic people to discuss issues relevant to them, such as how to cope with an allistic-dominated world. The set of relevant topics is open-ended. `Autistic' here encompasses all parts of the autistic spectrum, including both Asperger's syndrome and Kanner's autism. The list is for the benefit of autistic people themselves, *not* for the benefit of their families, friends, or carers, professionals dealing with autism, or anyone else. List etiquette follows autistic norms. No list member is ever required to post. Allistic people are not forbidden from joining the list, but are required to accept the interaction style that autistic list members prefer. Any dispute concerning list etiquette and management shall be determined by the autistic list members only. This is a plain text mailing list, with a message size limit of 40kB. Posters wishing to draw list members' attention to a larger or non-textual resource are encouraged to supply a URL along with a short textual description. To use the email interface for subscribing, etc., send mail to <as-request@fysh.org> with the word `help' in the subject or body. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the as Archives. |
